I believe financial leadership is all about creation. It’s increasing shareholder value while adding meaningful jobs to the marketplace. It’s exploring new verticals – whether it be though strategic partnerships, acquisitions or bootstrapping. It’s navigating the complexities of lender and regulatory compliance to help build something stronger than it was – or what was thought it could be. It’s partnering with sales and operations to generate profitable growth. It’s helping others understand the significant difference between leading and bleeding edges when investing capital and making the best choices.
Creating value is what I do. It comes from examining the cultural drivers of process issues and addressing those concerns first, before overlaying new procedures and systems. It comes not from handing off a set of instructions and hoping for the best, but from rolling up my sleeves and collaborating with my team and our stakeholders.
